Details of the craft

Understanding the timeline, delivery logistics, and material selections involved in commissioning a permanent, hand-planed timber piece.

What is the lead time?

Can I select the timber?

Because each piece is built to order using traditional joinery, commissions typically take 8 to 12 weeks from initial timber selection to final hand-planing.

Yes. We work directly with you during the design phase to select the ideal grain pattern and native hardwood species—such as quarter-sawn oak—for your home.

How is delivery handled?

How are splits stabilized?

We reject mass-production shipping. Every table, buffet, and chair is delivered fully assembled by our white-glove team directly to your room of choice.

We stabilize natural splits and knots using hand-cut butterfly joints. This preserves the timber's raw history while ensuring absolute structural integrity for generations.
